PREVALENCE OF ENDONASAL PATHOLOGY IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC DACRYOCYSTITIS AND PECULIARITIES OF SURGICAL TREATMENT

Purpose – to study the prevalence of endonasal pathology in patients with chronicdacryocystitis (CD) and justify expediency simultaneous operations suchpatients.Material methods. The included 109 CD, who were examinedand operated on 2004-2014 at Department Otorhinolaryngology Faculty ofInternship Postgraduate Education "Donetsk National Medical University theMinistry Health Ukraine". Examination consultation anophthalmologist, lavage lacrimal ducts, endoscopy nasal cavity, computedtomography. All underwent tearing by performing endoscopicdacryocystorhinostomy (EEDCR).Results. Endonasal was detected 85.3% patients: curvature nasalseptum - 71.6% patients, hypertrophy inferior turbinate 59.6%, bulloushypertrophy middle 5.5%, uncinate process- 6.4%, hyperpneumatization Agger nasi cells 14.7% patients. mostcommon combination septum inferiorturbinates 56.0% cases. Inflammatory paranasal sinuses wasin 38.5% cases: ethmoiditis 26.6% maxillary sinusitis 13.8%,sphenoiditis 1.8% In 94.6% correction intranasalpathology performed simultaneously EEDCR. 6.4% these therewere complications nosebleeding after removal tampons. Simultaneous operationsdid not significantly increase percentage variants comparedwith isolated operations.Conclusion. vast majority chronic dacryocystitis have pathologyof cavity sinuses, which may contribute developmentof relapse disease operation. Surgical ofconcomitant should beperformed endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy.
